Registration for this year's Summer Fun Programme will take place at the Centre on Tuesday 7th July from 10am.

The 2 weeks programme costs €20 per child or €25 per family and runs from Mon 13th to Fri 24th July and is available to children from the area aged 5 to 12.

We will be taking part in the 16 Days of Action Opposing Violence Against Women from 25th November to 10th December 2014. One in five Women experience domestic violence at some point in their lifetimes. We will highlight one fact about domestic violence for each of the 16 days and on the final day, December 10th at 11am, we invite everybody in the community to join us for a coffee morning and Balloon Launch here at the Centre to show our support for all who are experiencing this issue in our community.

A special display of information, leaflets and contacts for local services will be prominent in the Centre. Please highlight and share this with friends and neighbours.

Today, the 9 to 12 year olds had a fab time discovering their inner Vikings at the Heritage Park, while the younger group came up with some amazing cake-pop creations! Photos to follow! Big thanks to everybody for their support and cooperation, especially as we get used to all the comings and goings at collection and drop-off times at the new Centre.

A huge "Thank You" from all in the Southend Shanty Singers to the many people who came along to support us in launching our CD "Homeward Bound" on a sunny Friday evening, 26th June. A mighty evening was had and we hope you all enjoyed yourselves. The first run of discs sold out and we are currently awaiting delivery of a new set. The CDs can be purchased here at the Centre or from any member of the Shantymen,  by post e.mail shantymen@gmail.com at €5 a go.

Today was the last meeting of the Parent and Toddler Group for the Summer, and what better place to spend it than on Maudlintown Green with a load of paint!!

Thanks to everyone for such a fantastic year of fun, frolicks and friendship.

The group will be back up and running each Thursday morning at 9.30 am at the Centre from September.

The Southend Community Singers will perform at the Wexford Women's Refuge Fundraiser on July 24th in the Riverbank House Hotel, Wexford @8pm. 

The Sea Shanty Singers will perform in the Crossabeg Kyle Story Telling House on Sunday July 6th.  

Their CD ' Homeward Bound' is currently available for sale at €5 per disc.

You are invited to come along to our first OPEN DAY on Saturday 5th April from 11am - 2pm at our new location on the top of Hantoon Road in Maudlintown.


This is a casual morning, where you are welcome to pop along at any time to the new Centre and check out what's been happening, what is planned for the future and just have a good old nose around and see the amazing work that's been done over the past while to create this warm and inviting community space.


Perhaps you could bring along a friend who is new to the Centre?


As ever, there will be plenty of tea flowing and chins a wagging. We'd love to see you!
