Just a notice to any local parents looking to meet up with others over the summer, that some of the members of the Parent and Toddler Group are hoping to meet up at around 10am on Thursday mornings at Maudlintown Playground over the next few weeks while group activities at the Centre are on a Summer Break.

This is just a reminder that the Family Resource centre will be closed for the first two weeks of August for Summer Holidays and will re-open for administration or queries from mid-August.

Groups and activities will resume in September once again. Looking forward to seeing you all again then, when we will hopefully be a step closer to commencing our new era in Seaview House. More news on that to come. Keep posted and have a safe summer.

We would like to say a huge"thank you" to everybody involved in this year's Summer Fun for helping make it the best one ever.

A team of local parents, teenagers, community volunteers, local businesses, the Faythe school and many more came together and put on a fantastic two weeks of action-packed fun for the young people of Southend. And just in time for the heatwave!!

We hope everyone is having a well-deserved rest after all the excitement, especially as we will be gear up for Summer Fun 2014 before you know it!!
